Meet Abril Padrón, LPC
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Edward’s University in Austin and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Mexico State University. After earning my master’s degree, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, specializing in early childhood mental health.
My passion for working with parents stems from my own upbringing in a single-parent household, where I witnessed firsthand the challenges of parenting without enough tools to manage difficult child behaviors.
With over 9 years of experience, I provide therapy to children, teens, and families dealing with trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, and disruptive behaviors. I’m certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), a research-based approach that empowers parents to build positive connections and learn effective skills to address challenging behaviors.
I founded Nurturing Families in 2022 to offer accessible, online therapy for Texas families—and for the past three years, I’ve been honored to support parents in creating calmer, more connected homes.
